St Thomas' C of E Primary School

"Jesus at the heart of a learning community.”

As Head Teacher I would like to welcome you to our school website.

We are the only Church of England School in the Isle of Man and have been educating children since 1875.

Our school endeavours to provide the children with a modern education that will develop their skills and talents as confident, well rounded citizens of the future as well as instilling the Christian Values into their everyday living.

We offer a caring and nurturing learning environment where children have the opportunity to thrive.

We believe that a creative curriculum can enable the whole learning journey to engage and challenge our children.

With between 70 and 80 children in any one year, we are small enough to really create that family feel, offering support through targeted interventions, small groups and whole class teaching.

Being a Church School, our Christian faith is visible and the Christian ethos embedded into our teaching.

We really value enrichment activities that support learning and endeavour to get the children out of the classroom as much as possible. We provide forest school lessons, residential trips, visits and excursions. We also invite visitors into our school to work with our children, such as the Scripture Union Ministries Trust, Manx Wildlife Trust, Open the Book and Young Engineers to name but a few.
